SEVERANCE: OPENING INTRO
The TV show Severance has a continual theme of uneasiness, as the show introduces the dystopian-feeling corporation and the monotony of office life. They incorporate the use of liminal spaces and nostalgic interior design to create a feeling of uncanny familiarity within the viewer.
To begin, a typographic wordmark was created that embodies that same feeling of uneasiness that is present throughout the show. Then, a storyboard was created in order to present the concept behind the show in a fluid and transitional way. The animation focuses on uneasiness and builds tension within the viewer as the credits are introduced.
BNCONF PROMO VIDEO:
The BNCONF promotional video is an advertisement for the Brand New Conference in Chicago, Illinois. The conference focuses on teaching designers how to build brands with flair and confidence.
The promotional animation focuses on this idea of building brands and approaches it from a literal perspective: in a retro factory where each of the letters in the acronym is being created.
